How Memphis Pest Desk works
Memphis Pest Desk is a free referral service for homeowners in Memphis and Shelby County. When you call or send a request, we pass it to an independent pest control company that serves your area. They contact you to inspect and quote the work.
What we check
We only refer companies with a current Tennessee Department of Agriculture pest control charter. Tennessee requires a charter for each pest control office, with liability insurance of at least $250,000 per incident and $500,000 aggregate and a surety bond (Tennessee Department of Agriculture). You can check any company yourself; our guide walks through it.
How we make money
The pest control company pays us for the introduction. You never pay us anything. We don't do pest control ourselves, and we don't set the company's prices.
Where our information comes from
Our guides are written for homeowners and list their sources at the end. The data figures are our own analysis of public data from NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information, the US Census Bureau and the Tennessee Department of Agriculture. See the method.
What we ask of the company
A free inspection when you ask for one, a price before any treatment, plain answers about products and safety, and no pressure. If your experience falls short of that, tell us at (901) 668-7063.
